- Essays (Essais, 1580). Books I and II; book III in 1588; the posthumous edition, with the author's additions, in 1595.
- The Natural Theology of Raymond Sebond (La théologie naturelle de Raymond Sebon, 1569). A translation from the Latin, made at his father's request.
- Travel Journal (Journal du voyage en Italie, 1580-1581). The manuscript was found in 1770 and published in 1774.
